Intersection is a good generic term for small roads, in my opinion. A conjunction is a word, that joins a dependent clause in a sentence with the main clause. A place where you can safely cross a road, railway, river etc.
The junction is a place where two or more roads meet, join or cross.
Formal english would say that crossroads would be referring to. Crossroadsthey basically mean the same thing but if you are referring to directions it’s most common to say intersection. A place where two lines, roads, tracks etc cross. Junction@uzzkr an intersection is where two lines (or streets) cross each other, like a cross x. I think of a junction as the intersection of two major roads, such as county or state highways. Pictures edited and made by me crossing:
It might be ok, but 'junction' is usually at a specific location.
Did you mean, what is the difference between a junction and a connection? Sometimes, especially on roads built in the last 40 years or so, there are ramps, sliproads, underpasses.
