It will start fresh and for me it is now. Once apple opens this whatsapp on ipad, i believe more users would move to apple ecosystem. Whatsapp web, desktop app, all worked fine for me before.

I can still do that though the phone. Whatsapp desktop app and whatsapp web are two different ways to access whatsapp account on computers. Open whatsapp web in chrome web browser, f12 (enter dev tools), now go to application tab and delete all indexeddb one by one. I could have used shift+enter, but my typing is so automatic that. I tried everything from uninstalling. Even now, whatsapp app syncs on a macbook but not on windows laptop. I just installed whatsapp desktop, and couldn't disable the automatic sending whenever i pressed enter.
You do realize that whatsapp is a meta.
